Series of “A Thought on Observing Time” - After the 11 March 2011 earthquake –
I have made a series of works [ A Thought on Observing Time ] since 2003. There are object works and drawings. The theme has been the life cycle of plants. Now I have embarked on a new project called “crisis of life”. This is because of the large amount of radiation from the Fukushima nuclear power plant after March 11, 2011 .
I was not concerned by nuclear until the tragedy of March 11. I had only watched some documentaries about nuclear accidents on the television. But now I have realized that nuclear is in fact a poison to all life and I have to give this nuclear problem more careful consideration for a long time in the future.
This problem is too big for me to completely grasp. I don’t understand everything yet but I will have to live with this problem for a long time. I visually represent through my art a lot of images from "The Great Eastern Japan Earthquake "and the Fukushima nuclear disaster. I want to use materials such as lead, wax, wood etc, and drawing and prints (15 works to 20 works) to represent Japan after March 11. And I want to tell many people and share my images.
